Before you begin
Section 1
Choose either the Mid Staffordshire NHS Foundation Trust scandal or the national review into the murders of Arthur Labinjo-Hughes and Star Hobson, then provide a focused summary.
A clear summary usually covers:

Prioritise:

Explain the key findings from the public inquiry or safeguarding review associated with your chosen case: the Francis Inquiry report or the Child Safeguarding Practice Review Panel national review.
Move beyond a list of findings:
Use the primary report wherever possible, supported by reliable analysis.
Check that you can identify:
Section 3
Explain how your chosen safeguarding review relates to legislation and policy, as well as individual welfare rights and personalised outcomes.
Build an applied explanation:
Use current, authoritative versions of law, guidance and policy.
Useful evidence types include:

Conclude the key findings of your review and explain their overall implications for safeguarding policy and/or practice in your chosen context.
A strong conclusion should:
Include the evidence that supports your recommended implications.
For each implication, ask:
